Diff tie rod configuration

Hi All,

Just dismantling the backend of my +2 and have a question.

On the Diff tie rods, are the front mounting bolts have threaded domed nuts are these beasties just very rusty washers.

The pictures below will make the question clear, I hope.

Brian,
Just been looking at your pics and it would appear that someone has fitted the wishbone bolts while the body was off the chassis, the bolts should be facing forward with the nuts at the front, you will have problems getting the bolts out to remove the wishbones with the body on the chassis.

Hi All,

Thanks Richard for the input. I bit the bullet earlier today and got the blow lamp out :)

After an amount of heat and gentle persuasion the conical nut let go and things came to pieces.

My thanks also go to Brian regarding the A-Frame bolt orientation, I had noticed they were not as per the manual and will rectify this on the rebuild.
