Size of diff input flange

Hi

Anybody help with info relating to the size of the diff input flange- and preferably the exact positioning of the 4 tapped holes. I seem to recall that diffs had two sizes of flange as when I converted my own car to a Type 9 I'm sure I had to specify the size of the flange to GKN who made up the propshaft. Ideally a picture/diagram showing the exact dimensions of both types of flange would be very handy with the positioning of the threaded holes since they're not equidistant from each other.

Would be a big help/timesaver to get hold of this info.

Many thanks in anticipation.

John

As a matter of interest. the propshaft flanges are no longer available. So if anyone has a spare flange or propshaft, don't throw it away as there are bound to be people out there desperate for one at sometime in the future.

I'll add that to my description when I next re-list my spare propshaft on eBay.

It did not sell last week.

Hi

Thanks to all who replied so quickly- presumably GKN can source the flanges when they make the prop for me otherwise !!!!.

I hope you're right, John. It was when I needed a propshaft for the Lotus 5 speed box I was told by GKN that the diff flange was not available and had to use the one from the 4 speed propshaft.
That was 2 years ago - perhaps the situation has changed.

TTR have the flange drilled for both patterns.

Hi,
I think there are three prop shaft flange diameters for Ford English diffs. There are the two as described above and then there is a larger type which was probably on RS2000.

If necessary I can measure the larger type.

I have just brought the TTR diff flange which is drilled for both of the smaller type.

Steve

Hi Steve

Thqanks for the info- I'll probably use a 3.54 RS2000 diff so the figures (if not too much trouble to obtain) would be quite handy to have.
