DETAILED REPORT Five Speed ISUZU

Americas Cup is like F1. There is a long series, a variety of course conditions, the chance to make changes to improve, and tactics.

The Aussies were clearly superior early in the Cup series. But the US team made personell, equipment, and tactical improvements. Race conditions also favored the US team for many races. One race got cancelled when the boats could not finish within the maximum time due to light winds. The Aussies were in the lead in that race, and if they had finished and won, they would have won the Cup.

So, it is like much racing, final success sometimes turns on the smallest factor.

I thought this topic was on the Isuzu 5-speed conversion.
