Eric,

Something else you may not understand - although people pay loads of money in the UK for personalised number plates they remain the property of the licencing authority.

You can rename yourself anything by deed poll in the UK.

There used to be a house on the north bank of the Thames, presumably a member of the acting profession, who had "2B" and "NOT2B" parked side by side in the drive, used to make me smile.

My Elan was born (registered) with the plate EMA7K. When the Elise came out in 1996 I decided to sell EMA and buy an Elise except once I had driven an Elise I decided the Elan was better and I still have her to this day. However, when I advertised the car for a modest ?11995 in 96 one punter was more than interested in the advert and even after telling him that I had decided to keep the car he kept pestering me to sell the car. Without seeing the car he kept upping his offer until finally he was offering me ?18,000 for the car. When I quizzed his behavouir it turned out he was an ardent fan of Emma Peel and the Avengers!

Well if I changed my name to Mr. SKK 745G would that make us close relatives? I would of course be just slightly older than you though.
