Coaxial clutch slave cylinder

PostPost by: frearther » Thu Apr 02, 2009 5:19 pm

I'm thinking about installing one of these to eliminate all the folderol with the stock clutch slave cylinder. Does anyone have experience with this?

I am in the process of fitting one to a Type 9 'box courtesy of QED. So far I have the adapter, and slave cylinder, I have measured it up and it looks either like a perfect fit, or if anything slighlt to long, so I may need to machine the adaptor down to suit.

I can report back in early May when I should have my car running if not finished.

I have done two; one in our racer that we beat the crap out of for 3 years of racing and the other in my Plus 2 now with about 2500 miles. Both were Saab units with custom mountings. No problems at all...........................so far

good luck

Crannyr, how 'bout some details. What year(s) Saab? Any pics of the custom mounts.
Thanks,

I think that RD has one here on the left side of the pond. Has anyone tried it?

I have one from Burton in the UK. Works well and was affordable.

Jerry,

Which Burton bits did you use?

I have provisional plans to do this job next winter, so the info will be good for future reference.
