Fellas,

You know the feeling when you are rushing a job and it all goes wrong and something breaks....

I'll let your imagination work out how it happened, but I now have a crankshaft pulley with a small part of the outer flange (40mm long) no longer connected to the pulley - involved hammer.

What do you think the best option for repair might be - or should I just get a new one ?

Please help.

wellll unless you have a big enough hammer to beat the thing perfectly round again----replace it--too many vibrations to the crank shaft if its not perfect---- ed

Surely its cast,which doesn't take to being hit with a hammer (no matter how many times)

No question, I fully agree with ed - replace it, it's not worth the bother of repairing and they are easy enough to get new.

Replace it and don't do it again.
I have a small dia Cosworth Billet unit if that's any help. 9have photos.
Could possibley find an original unit if desired.
