Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

I have a plus two, the five speed model but with a 4 speed gearbox !

Whilst great fun it does become rather tiring at motorway speeds. I am considering filling a 5 speed conversion box from Alan Voight.

Has anyone done this ? At ?1500 + VAT it looks rather expensive. Does anyone know of any alternatives ?

I have fitted one of Alan Voigts 5 speeds last year (1st one in a Spyder +2)

Very pleased with it, and good value, complete kit included.

There's a lot of traffic on the list about this last year.

Otherwise you're looking for a Lotus 5 speed.

Hi Andrew,
You could try John Blackwell he is on the list and had some conversions for sale a about six months a go. They were in the "For Sale" part of the Forum so you could search that area
