Gearbox question (4 speed)

I want to replace the oil seal in the extension housing. What is the minimum I need to do to remove the housing. So do I need to mess about with selector shafts etc?

The minimum you need to do is leave the rear extension in place and just pry out the seal and replace it

cheers
