Hi
I am restoring a 1974 Elan plus 2, it is missing a propshaft.
I have found someone that says he has 2, from the pictures they could be.
But does anyone have the full technical specification of the propshaft.
So I can check all the measurements.
many thanks
steve

Where are you in London, PM me. I have my 5 speed prop off the car and you're welcome to come and measure it (and photo it as well).

Hi I love just outside the m25 near Staines and work in the centre of London. be great if you can run a tape measure from the centre of the u/j to the centre of the other u/j in good old fashioned inches.
Be great to meet up if you up for it as I start putting mine back together to get it all as right as I can . take some photographs and things to look out for. Many thanks. Steve

No problem, I'll do it tomorrow. I'm just inside the M25 between Caterham and Purley.

Hi Steve,
Rohan was spot on on the other thread, I hadn't notice the time difference! I measured the compressed difference between the UJ centres as 38 1/4" with a tape measure, I suspect Rohan may have a more accurate measure.
Rohan also makes the point that the two flanges are different and you should check to match your g/box and diff.
I'm around all day if you need anything else.
