Jim,
The B.V. engine should be a stright swap but the gearbox mounting is in a different place and will require new fixing points, I think these are already done on replacement chassis. I have never done it but I'm sure it can't be to much of a problem. Make sure you get the 5sp propshaft as it also different.

The +2S engine & box will fit fine there is a technical bulletin on this website which gives the drilling detail for the 5 speed gearbox crossmember. The +2 propshaft needs shortening but make sure if you are not stripping a complete +2 you get the 5 speed release bearing carrier & the carrier that fits in the flywheel to hold the bearing that supports the gearbox input shaft ( it does not fit in the grank as on 4 speed ). These two parts are like hens teeth now. This box gives much more relaxed progress although gear change is not as good
