Help! Looking For Door Lever Spring..

I'm trying to find a part that so far looks like it may no longer be available.

I have an early +2 with the lever type interior door handle. The spring behind the lever that normally allows the lever to return to its default horizontal position has broken and I need to find a replacement. The item looks like a bit of coat hanger formed in a loop.

I can't be the only one who has come across this problem. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
