self opening boot

For no apparent reason the boot self opens, new annoying habit, I've slightly adjusted the pin on lid, but still opens.
Anyone else has the same?

Never had this on an Elan, what model do you have?

If it's a +2 I had this a few years back and it turned out to be the cable that had come out of the bracket at the offside rear wing there is a small ferrule which the end of the cable fits in just had to adjust the tension on the cable to stop it coming out and opening the boot.
