Flat spire fastener

PostPost by: JonB » Mon May 22, 2023 6:59 pm

Nor sure what these things are called but they look like half a spire clip. Used extensively to fasten things through the bodywork using self tapping screws which engage with a shaped hole in the (whatever it’s called). It’s a flat bit of metal, about 15mm x 7mm made of springy steel.

I’m going to need some (lots) but haven’t found a supplier. Any ideas?

Thanks Mazzini

A bit expensive. Must be a Spalding Fasteners “thing”.

Meanwhile I found this

https://www.bresco.com/acatalog/Rectang ... tml#SID=17

Just got to work out the required size and I should be well away. £10 for 30 plus vat and shipping.
