Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

I need to replace the spring clips and plastic receptacles on my doors. I have plenty of spring clips from previous (BL) cars but I'm not sure which is the correct plastic receptacle. There are several on Bresco but none of them look like the originals. Should they be the type with two tangs that spring out to retain them ?. Mine are too far gone to identify them correctly. Trying to avoid paying through the nose from a Lotus parts supplier for these as they are just generic parts so should be cheap as chips elsewhere.

I called Breaso and they advised one of the Snapsac sleeves was correct so I've ordered some, hopefully they fit.

I bought springclips and snapsacs from Bresco, fit nicely. That's probably where Sue and the others get them anyway.
