Only the cars delivered to very arid areas were supplied with those holes. They are there to maintain the correct moisture content in the carpet padding. You shouldn't need them in your neck of the woods. :wink:

The only holes on the right side of the tunnel should be the large access hole with rubber plug and the seat belt mounting holes.

I also have a '72 +2S Federal imported into Canada. No holes. My guess is a PO who installed some after market goodies - maybe rally equipment?

The six large holes do remind me of the hole pattern in some radio-mounts I've seen years ago. As a former radio-installer, I wonder what that owner did to provide an earth-plane for the antenna, since the GRP body won't function for that.
