As my resto continues I decided to NOT risk breaking the lock cover when opening the lid. I fabbed this little piece, .085" thick, drilling a 3/8" hole at the top and then a 3/4" hole .7" center to center. Bent the appropriate angle and filed out the interior shape and the exterior shape. If I still had CNC access I would have cut a little Lotus shaped hole as a final detail, alas, no longer have that facility.

It looks very good.
I'm really looking forward to see the full "reveal" (forgive the You Tube jargon) of your car in this colour.

Andrew, come over to LOG in Salt Lake City in September and you can see it in the flesh, now back to the garage

Not being a guitar player I learned a new word in the R&T reveal of the Emira, the shape I will eventually mill in the trunk/boot lid finger will be a "plectrum". And I also now have a new vehicle to consider, had made a deposit on a C8 but bailed out, so now either an Emira or wait a couple more years for a proper EV!

Here's the finger tab with the Lotus plectrum cutout, lighter but lessened down-force that would have been created with the Gurney flap version, life is full of compromises.

Jerry,
Very elegant!
Nearly 50 years of owning Lotus vehicles and I've never thought of that! Very nice!
