Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

It would seem that the style of light used at the top of the trim panel in the early Plus 2 is not available except for the lens/cover, and the ones available now are clear rather than the white of the original items. The back parts of mine that hold the lamp crumbled during removal, so now I'm contemplating using the later type lights instead. The car is from the transitional period right before the S began, so who is to say that Lotus would not have done the same thing if they ran out of the older lights?

Before I order a set, can anybody tell me what size hole they fit into? I'm not averse to modifying the hole in my panels, but it's a lot easier to make the holes larger than it is to make them smaller.

sorry.. not the answer to your question. the backs are reasonably available at autojumbles (when we can). If you use facebook, there was a portuguese chap a few months back who had a few sets of covers in the correct white plastic. I brought a set and they were spot on.

I'm in the USA, no autojumbles full of old British bits here.
