I had a couple missing and iirc I used some that have a push only top which is almost undistinguishable once in place, like the ones to attach the windshield to BMW series 6 fairing

One might be able to take them out by pushing the central locking rod all the way through, with a filed flat nail of just about the same diameter, but this does not always work.
