Anybody have a picture of the roof bars that tension the head cloth in an elan.
My car has a sun roof that I've removed so the bars were never with the car.
The wire clips are still in place above the doors, even suggestions on what to make them out of would be great.

They are 5/16" OD thin wall galvanized tube. I'll post a photo as soon as I can find it.

I think I made a tracing of my stays. It is probably at my winter Florida home where I am restoring my FHC., but I'll look here too. You would be able to make new ones easily from my tracing.

Hello,
I got a set (4or 5?) from a stock of parts I bought years ago.
If you pay shipping, they are yours ...

I made the Hoop for the Headlining for my TVR 1600M from "Kunifer" brake pipe, doesn't rust and doesn't need treating
Glue some Sound Deadening inside Roof before fitting Headlining

I think I'll go down the stainless steel brake pipe route. Thanks for the tip with the sound deafening I'll fit some before put the lining in.

The Kunifer is easier to bend in smooth curves with your hands
