Hardtops early production

Who originally produced the first Elan hardtops? Was it Bourne? Was it Lotus, other? Were the hardtops originally available for the S1 or only came into existence for the S2, where some existing S1 owners opted to purchase for their S1 cars?

The Lenham hardtops were only produced/fitted to the later Elans, such as S3/S4, correct?

So not definitive, but one of the S1's I've owned was purchased from the widow of the original purchaser, and she indicated it came with it's hardtop in the summer of '63 when picked up from the supplying dealer (in the U.S.).

My S1 Which was in the first batch delivered to Australia in early 64 was supplied with a black hardtop.
