Huge chassis milestone this weekend

Just have to exhale my huge sigh of relief-

Normally I'm asking questions here but today I have to share my progress from this past weekend, repairing a rusty section on my frame. For me, this was a big project in terms of leap of faith, as I took the cutting wheel to my original chassis and cut the rectangular section out for replacement.
After sweating about it for a few days, I was finally able to get the nerve up to cut the frame, size and fit the patch panel, and then weld and grind to the finished result. I measured and made up the 90-degree bent patch panel beforehand, and cut the opening to fit. I'm a novice welder and this was a great success.

Thank you to those of you who've done this as well, shared your experiences and encouraged me to try it- I am very glad I did! Next up, paint and reassembly!

Excellent. Props for taking on a challenge. Said by someone without welding skills in the bag. :D
