Does anyone have a sketch of the cockpit rear panel dimensions for Sprint FHC ?
Apologies if I have missed it on the forum but I have searched the forum and only found a post from Martin (M100) where he put a PDF up on Yahoo which is no longer available. It doesn’t look like Martin is still active here
Many thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,
I have a sketch of my S4 DHC backboard, not sure how the FHC and DHC differ but it may be a starting point if you don't get anything else. Let me know if it will help and I'll dig it out and post it here.

I have a bare S4 FHC panel to hand, if you want me to measure it let me know.
Afaik it’s factory original, is the sprint the same? Don’t see why not?

Hi - that would be very helpful as I think the FHC is slightly difference to DHC. The Sprint and S4 FHC are the same.
Many thanks
Chris

Thanks for the offer but hopefully VXAH has the details
Cheers

I have taken a picture, just need to find a way to write the measurements on it?

That is great as I only have my old parcel shelf so I can now see it’s scope.
If you could do a diagram on paper and mark some key measurements and then take a picture of the sketch that would be great
Thanks again
Chris

If you do that & make available to me I would be happy to draw up in CAD & convert to PDF so as to be available to everyone here in the future.

DSC00279.JPG and
And then you'll need the little angle brackets that attach the top edge to the bottom of the parcel shelf.

And my early S3 also has this piece of wood glued to the back side of the bulkhead and it is then screwed to the inside the "U" of the bar holding to the rear towers.

Thanks for the pics - fortunately I have the brackets (still attached to the shelf) and that rough piece of wood which is screwed to cross brace.
I just don’t know what I did with the back panel back in 2008

Chris,

I'll take some dims off it tonite and just list them. With good pics, the dims should just fall into place. I have a NOS panel also that has a 36 B xxx number embossed into it and I was going to use it for a pattern to make a new one for my coupe. I thought Ibrought it along from Ohio, but now I can't find it and the material I also brought to make the new piece from. I'll do some more digging, since the carpet is resisting removal.

Roger

There you go, I know you wouldn’t believe I got an A in technical drawing! Was 46 years ago though! The teacher used to say “you’ve made a pig’s ear of that boy” stayed friends for the next 40 years until he shuffled off!
On leavers day I went to the butchers and got a real pig’s ear and gave it to him as a present, he never forgot it!

Assuming the part is symetrical, can you dimension to the semi-circulr cut-outs & the chassis strut brace holes?
