Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

Hello all,
I am just putting my doors back together. Unfortunatly I didn't take them apart. Amongst the bits I have are two balls of black stuff resembling plasticine or putty. I know this is used to seal the areas between door and window frame, but I don't know which areas it seals, wher to place it.
Can anyone help....details or pictures please.

I had a black putty of some kind sealing the gap between the front quarter window and the door. It had gone very hard and had to be carefully chipped out to remove the window frame.

I was reading the workshop manual yesterday (just quarintine things ) and in the Body section there was some detail about sealant in some particular places. Worth having a read.
