Sorry for my bad English.

All my toys are now confined except my Elan used to commute at work (A little daily joy in this sad period).
Times come also to work on little things as glass and doors adjustment.

I understand from this drawing that bobin is used to adjust door up and down and alloy part to adjust back/rear.

But how to adjust left/right to have a better fitting than this one ?

Last question: Passenger glaas fall down +-3to5cm when car is drive: How/where can I make mechanism a bit more tight ? I didn't see any adjustment.

Thanks for your help !!!

The two bolts that hold the hinge assembly stick through two holes in the bobbin carrier. Sometimes the size of the hole needs to be extended to allow for the adjustment you need.

Elan doors never fit properly, their moulds were not rigid enough!

The castings that the nylon pivots screw into are bolted into bobbins in the door through oversize holes allowing them to move forward-backwards and also sideways. You might be able to adjust them so that the front fits perfectly but the back would probably be a long way out! You have to decide which position is the best compromise aesthetically in your own opinion.

I needed to file the holes/slots in the aluminium/aluminum casting that holds the nylon pivot to be able to move the door inward to get a better fit. I needed to make the slots wider. The LHS door was worst and I was able to make the fit much better.

To make the window stay up you may be able to tighten the grip on the window by moving the rear window channel forward a little. The fixing holes are quite large and these could be filed to allow the channel to move forward. You'll have to remove the door lock assembly to get access to the rear window channel.

These videos show my Elan S2 door assembly and might help.
