Windscreen frame & drivers door fit..

Over the past week I?ve removed the side and top rail from the windscreen frame and the fabric trim on its underside to allow me to strip the paint from it. Quite a fiddly job. The following video looks at the result and the state of the frame.
I also look at the fit of the drivers door particularly the bottom where there is a large gap compared to the passenger door. It appears something is wrong??

One thing to consider while you are looking over the fit of the door...the distance between the door window frame and the rain rail on the windscreen surround. Oft times, either someone grabbing on the windscreen to enter or exit the car OR age related sag can pull the windscreen in at the top, which will impinge on the door window frame. This was the case in my s3. I ended up bending the windscreen support frame away from both doors a tad bit to equalize the clearance.
