Another parts-ID thread: little clear plastic bits

PostPost by: The Veg » Sun Jul 29, 2018 7:01 pm

I found these in the bin in which I've kept the small hardware from the dashboard*. Anybody know what they are? I have no recollection of them when it all came apart. They are about half an inch in diameter.

*Which is FINALLY getting close to going back into the car!

I think they are the washers which fit under the heads of the dashboard securing screws to protect the veneer.

That's what I'd have suggested too.

Because the hole is not round I would suggest they are for some knob that gets twisted. The radio leapt to mind as I was just examining mine but it has only two. There are a few more on the dash though (I think, mines been apart a long time).
We are supposed to be having fun, are we not?

I seem to recall seeing something like that on the seat belt bolts all though not
sure the hole is large enough for the bolt.
