Question on trim around fog/spot switches

PostPost by: NedK » Wed Apr 18, 2018 10:02 pm

I am working on the trim around the dash on my 1969 +2S.

The dashboard looks exactly like the 'Mid' one in the parts manual (thanks to http://www.rdent.com as ever).

It looks like there is a defined surround for the rectangular holes.

But in mine there are just some crude holes cut out of the vinyl and the one remaining rocker switch was glued to the back of the trim with filler.

Does anyone have a nice neat and tidy version of how these switches sit in the trim? I've remade the plastic trim piece inside the vinyl, as the original has shattered into many pieces. (For the other ones I've just built up a little GRP behind to hold everything together).

Many thanks
Ned
