Chrome 130/5 badge - glueing the 2 parts together.

Hi,
The 2 parts of my 130/5 badge were very corroded and i have had them re-chomed. (by Silvabronz in Alton Hampshire who have done a good job on all my bits)
The question now is what to stick the 2 together with.
I had trial run using the contact adhesive i used for the trim (Alpha AF 178 TF ) - it sort of sticks, but when dry and rubbery can be peeled off with a thumbnail under the edge.

Has anybody done the same job with something better please ?

Thanks and Best Wishes,

Dick

I just fixed mine with a couple of blobs of RTV - that was 5 years ago and it has never come off.

Keep in mind that you may need to remove it at some future date.

I seem to recall traces of what looked like Evostick contact adhesive on the original badge.

I used contact adhesive on mine with absolutely no problem but I second JB for bullet proof fix

I used double sided tape, the slightly thicker cushioned version, to be on the safe side as I didn't want my good condition original badges to be lost (or stolen)
