Window lifter bush

PostPost by: autopia » Fri Mar 16, 2018 6:19 am

My window sometimes drops when I close the door, I've identified a worn bush as the culprit, it sits on the end of the lifting arm and runs in the channel sitting along the bottom of the glass pane.

It's only intermittent but does require the door card to be removed to refit, I could bend the lifting arm but wonder if the bushes are still available, I think they are a cotton reel shape.

Any suggestions?

I had news ones turned up in PTFE.

I'm afraid that you will need to remove the motor and arm as the 'diablos' are rivetted on if I recall correctly.

They are indeed riveted, and it's a rather large rivet. One of mine is a bit deformed, so I wonder how well the window will move once I've got the car back together.
