BTW, I have consulted Shaun Pickering of SP Suspension (Spalding, Lincs) is ex JWE Banks and a Koni specialist.
Sean dyno tested my shocks (the front Konis were NOS found by luck in the US, for the rears were 2nd hand from SP).
I think I now have the right spec for what I am after (a return to a 60s racing specification with softer springs), but I will ask him to double check the fitting to see what is happening on bump and droop positions once my rebuild is properly underway.
