I think if all the holes are not threaded you will need spacers to keep pods in the centre.
Plus you will need lock nuts on the end of the bolts + the back surface for the lock nuts on the bobbins will need surfacing.
Imho the original design is best and easier to assemble + pods are held central.
They just need some oil now and then.
