Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

Hi,
I am shortly to effect a colour change on my 1964 S1 Elan convertible.
I am hoping that a contributor to this list can advise if the windscreen surround was painted by the factory in body colour or in black (I have seen them both ways). Also, wether or not the inside of the same screen frams moulding was body colour or black.

I also reserched this when I rebuilt my early S2 and all indications are that the w/screen frame and the cant rails were finished in a satin (semi gloss) black.(inside and out)
