Hi all

My car lives indoors in a covercraft car cover which doesnt seem to breathe that well and which I am looking to replace.

Does anyone have suggestions as to a good breathable cover please?

Thanks
Gavin

IMHO, you can't beat super king size Fleece bed sheets from B&M store. we use them to cover all our cars indoors and their great because they can be washed :)

We use ?700 carcoon covers for long term storage and still use bed sheets inside to keep any dust off and to stop minor scratches when erecting the Carcoon.

You have to be so careful putting any waterproof type car cover on an Elan even is it's a breathable one, the GRP /Paint really doesn't like being covered.

" the GRP /Paint really doesn't like being covered." - this seems to be quite right; I was talking with a car re-finisher recently and was given the same message, loud & clear !

I do want to protect the car against light garage knocks.

Do we think that poly cotton sheets are OK - otherwise we are into 100% egyptian cotton which costs a fortune.

Thanks
Gavin

I wouldn't use Cotton (no impact protection) the sheets we use come from B&M Store and costs about ?5 each and are made from Fleece.

Used this one five years post paint, after a year uncovered following urethane repaint, covered constantly, indoors, napped on the underside Gordon Sauer
