Has anyone began reproducing the one piece plastic Elan +2 console?

Every few years I ask. Hoping one day a company will offer a replacement. Thanks.

I made one out of fiberglass. My original was badly cracked in about 100 places so I taped and glued it together and formed fiberglass around it. I molded the area around the gear lever as a separate piece as I am installing a T5 and this will allow me to move it if needed.

I would say that the piece is about 95% correct. If nothing else works out for you I could possibly make a copy of it. Shipping could be an issue depending on where you are. I am in Virginia.

I am located in eastern PA.

Did Miles Wilkins copy your old part or does he sell the console as a regular part?

Wilkins does not have an e-mail address published on his web site.

If he made a one piece Elan +2 console for you I will call him for a quote.

The Lotus console I have is in MANY pieces. Not practical to ship and quite difficult to reassemble.

If you have no luck with Wilkins you are welcome to make a copy of mine. i am located in Manassas, VA. The copy I made is currently in raw fiberglass so it would be easy to make a copy.

Shaun, which console did you purchase from Wilkins?

It appears I will have to call Mr. Wilkins as there is no mention on his web site of this part being offered.

Great news! Get 'em while they are hot!

Wonder if several could be stacked together for shipping over the pond? If so a group buy may be worth it, and make the packing and shipping a lot easier for Susan. Alternatively I bet Ray or the Bean guys would be happy to stock them?

Just a thought. I am OK with my slightly cracked an repaired console.
