yes....probably me...
I did a drawing and got quotes....
it then took a while to get the numbers to complete the order (they did a min of 25 sets IIRC)
by the time I went back the price had gone through the roof.....
lost the will after that with dilly and dallying.....
I think some brave soul may have to buy a load and keep them.......I just couldn't afford 25 sets.......
I'll see if I can find the drawing.......(and pdf)

I would be interested to hear the outcome of this also.
The clip that secure them to the Body is often listed as an Austin Maxi part, but I can't work out where they are used, and the trim doesn't look to have featured on that car unfortunately.

The clips are readily available.....s and j have them in plastic or metal......apparently the plastic ones are not brilliant but the metal ones are spot on.....

I bought some of the metal clips from SJ some time ago, but they may not be any good as they are going to have to change the return folds by 1mm each end to fit in with their folding equipment.
I am going to bite the bullet and get a pair made up and then figure out how to fit them when we do the respray next month, So watch this space........

This is good, John. If these people can do a good job, and will make more, you will be supplying an important, no-longer-available piece for our Plus 2s. Nice.
(Too bad you don't have a borrowed/donor to show to the company, too, so they have an in-person idea of the bends, etc.)
Anyway, best of luck

I hope your chaps can help......
When I did this a few years ago it was all good until the delay between the quote and the order......in that time they decided to double their price.....I then needed to confirm again that it was acceptable by which time the.list sort of fizzled out.....
As for the clips.....they should still work....probably.....they sit quite far into the profile......I'd probably still just get 1 to start with and test........
Top work......

I have a pair and was going to fit them after the respray, but have decided I like the clean look without them so they will be added to the stack of standard bits that have been replaced with new or upgraded parts and can go to the new owner if I ever sell it.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine!
