MX5 seats into +2

I have just bought a set of MX5 seats to replace the sad originals in my +2 130/5. The seats are the models with the separate and detachable headrests so really look the part and do not dominate the interior like the fully integrated versions. I have read just about everything available on how to fit them and rather than re-invent the wheel I would like to ask if anyone has a sketch or drawing of exactly what is required in terms of an subframe to enable the existing mounting points in the floor to be used as I do not want to get involved in drilling additional holes .
Thanks in anticipation

I think you need to do some research in the archives.. This topic has been discussed and plenty of people seem to have fitted the MX5/Miata seats effectively. I was considering this myself, but found I could fit MGB seats pretty easily. During my researches I downloaded a few pics, but I can't remember who's car it was or which thread! A little help here -who's car is this??!

Hi guys
Just bought a pair of mx5 seats for my 1969 Plus2. They come without rails. Just hoping for some helpful advice on what's the easiest way to fit them. Most links here don't seem to work anymore.
Really grateful for any help!
Many thanks
Andy

A couple of pieces of half inch square box section and a couple of short lengths of conduit/couplers does the job

Thanks John, much appreciated. Sadly I don't seem to have as much included with my seats as you have there. I just have 4 bolts in the seat pan! No runners at all.
Has anyone tried the Universal Seat Runners available on fleabay? Or any other solutions short of too much fabrication?
Once again, many thanks.
