I have the rachet jack system on my +2..
Works OK and seems more stable that the scissor jacks I have used before although it is true if the rachet jumps you can end up punching the tarmac!

Jason, I'd feel awful taking money from a fellow board member. Tell you what, I'll swap you for a Chapman steering wheel, a period radio, some seat belts and a front moustache, throw in a couple of fully trimmed door cards as well (black please) and we will both have the feel good factor without involving that tacky money thing

I bought a replacement from Paul Matty's as I still have the original jack and use it. The ratchet spring had broke on the original handle.

Cheers Kenny
That sounds like a bargin
I have a couple of spare door cards that are on my list to re-back. My existing ones are ok but the water has got to them and made them curl.
I have also punched the tarmac, in-fact at least once everytime I use it.
I tried to get a ratch from Matty's but they said they are not stocking them anymore
The rivets on mine have become loose so it slips. I will proberby drill them out and re-revit it or put small nut/bolts through.

Or, get an 8 point socket the right size and use a real ratchet.

Where's the fun in that???
If I wanted an easy life I wouldn't have bought an almost 40 year old Lotus without seeing it
