Seat webbing / diaphram replacement.

PostPost by: berni29 » Mon Jan 22, 2007 2:00 am

Hi There

I am just about to refit my plus 2s seats and would like to replace or reinforce the black rubber diaphram under the seats which is looking worse for wear. CN says that the part is unobtainable, so what is the best way to go with this job? I have seen Pirelli webbing advertised, but am unsure about the best way to secure it.

Any suggestions apprecaited.

Many thanks

Berni
Zetec+ 2 under const, also 130S. And another 130S for complete restoration. Previously Racing green +2s with green tints. Yellow +2 and a couple of others, all missed. Great to be back 04/11/2021 although its all starting to get a bit out of control.

I've used high density half inch foam sheeting, designed for cold temp camping bedding, cut with scissors to fit between the springs and vinyl. Soft, lightweight, comfortable.
