Silly Question From New Elan S3 Owner

My "new" car finally arrived this weekend. It's a '67 Elan S3 and I thought I'd ask the first of many silly questions:

My car didn't come with an owner's manual (just the Brooklands workshop manual) and I'm not sure what all the switches on the dash do. It's a series 3 with the toggles-not rockers.

Can anyone post a picture of the dash layout? I'd rather not go through trial and error just yet!

Oh yeah, any suggestions on a decent portable fire extinguisher (I'm in the US)?

i use an on board afff [ aquified form filling foam]--remote cable activated --and directed by tube to cover the fuel pump and carb area --it washes off easily and is cheap to fill [ purple stuff and nitrogen ] ---I use a 5 pound bottle in all 3 cars ---Pegasus or most race car shops sell it --about- 450 bucks U.S. --I also installed a master off switch in the driver area to kill the battery power through the negative power cable as these cars are potential barbeque's on wheels --ed

I went and bought a fire extinguisher and mounted it on the rear panel behind the seats.
Its just your plain jane abc extinguisher from wallmart, cost like $10.00 . It will do the job just fine and its cheap,downside is they are messy to clean up.
I have heard the new halogen ones are better and cleaner but run about $120.00 .I know ill hear about how its worth it and all but i tend to like less expensive solutions.

I went with the halogen one as well. They are not messy like the dry chemical ones. There are a tradeoffs with each choice. Halogen dissipates quickly so re-ignition is possible(-), It is clean(+), reasonable in cost(+). Dry chemical is cheap(+), messy(-), not good for aluminum(-), somewhat controls re-ignition(+). AFFF is expensive(-), but then what is it worth to avoid a possible life of agony and scaring? Suppresses re-ignition(+), stays put(+)

I'm sure there are other plusses and minuses and some may disagree with this. My philosophy was enough fire extinguisher to put ME out if I am on fire, then worry about the car!

Thanks for all the responses-and the excellent schematic of the dash.

For my car's 40th birthday, it's being called into service as a commuter car. It spent its 30's napping, recovering from life as an autocrosser. It was restored in the mid-90's and has only recently seen the light of day. So it's really only a 30 year old.

Also, there's a fair chance that my 2nd kid will be born on the build date of my car-6/19. That'll be some birthday!

"Elise" would be quite good for a girl but I can't think of a good one for a boy.

Elan as a middle name might be OK...??? Otherwise I'd go for a boy named Monocoque or Doorstop.
Girl? Elise sounds fine, the choices are limited! I like Rotoflex, but not for a girl.... what about Bobbin?
