I spoke to the guy who I believed to be more knowledgeable than he now appears to be regarding the three painters. Paul Matty and MSL (whose whereabouts was not known) are two, and the third was Mick Miller, whose operation is now only a parts centre.
Paul Matty would be my obvious choice from where I live.

Autocrash Repairs of Barkers Lane, Bedford used to paint all of my dads Lotuses (4). thier work was exemplary, but not cheap.

I'd recomend them any day

While scanning the latest Lotus mag I realised I had made a mistake on the three paint sources. For MSL read SMS.

I'm sure you can add Miles Wilkins' fibreglass services to the list of reliable refinishers.
His various books on the subject are also good - he's in the water based stripper camp but I'm not convinced and I'm doing it the hard way using a chisel and P80-180 paper.
