Hi Thor,

The main differences are the stalk and possibly the rear of the mirror (which might be less domed than the ebay one). To avoid confusion I'll send you the photo and if you have the facility you might post it on this thread.

That makes it sound completely different :D
The dimensions appear to be the same but the Cromodora stalk has a very thin section of rod connecting it to the mirror body.

Hope this helps,

RH side Ferrari Dino, Daytona etc. original equipment Cromadora mirror now ordered from the UK... expensive but too tempting.
Will post result of the fitting as soon as this has been done, after spending the winter polishing it of course....:-) That sums up my Christmas presents for the +2S along with the soon finished steering wheel getting new leather at Lotus, the revarnished gearknob, and Magnecor leads.
The missus don't know about all these of course.

Right, for those interested, this is the result of the first trial fit of the neat Cromadora mirrors, still a bit uncertain of the positioning.

I have resieved the mirrors from E-bay, but haven't fitted them yet. Hmm this gives stuff for the mind.

Hi All,
I purchased a set of bullet mirrors some time ago. Last month I installed the drivers one ? What a pile of pants!! It was better without them to be frank.

So I looked to the forum and found this discussion piece which has been interesting. I then found these on the internet and decided to order them ? It?s the long base US type, 5th one down.

http://www.classic-car-accessories.co.u ... IOR_8.html

They arrived on Monday and they are excellent.

Have a look at let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

Dave

Very nice, and an interesting shape-.
My Cromadora mirrors are going on soon (taking the car out for the first time this spring tomorrow!!!).

I really don't understand the very british infatuation with the bullet mirrors that don't work, and the square ones that look nothing like the fluid shape of the Elan, simply because it's the done thing. I've had a GT6 followed by a TR4A both with non-functioning bullet mirrors. I realised the error of my ways (Triumph versus Lotus), and now I have the Elan +2S. Which will get the delicate Ferrari Dino Cromadora mirrors on, which are in keeping with the lines and look of the +2S, not simply put on because everyone else has a distinct lack of imagination.,....

Obviously ?55 is a lot for each mirror, but not if you like yourself end up having to change what you fitted.....

For anyone interested in how it looks, I've now fitted Cromadora Ferrari Dino mirrors at ?55 a piece from Superformance in London, have look at the latest files uploaded in the photo gallery.. And they actually work! (after much trying for the right position..)
Scary to drill the holes, but now I'm happy, think they suit the lines quite well, but taste is different for all..
