That looks like almost a complete roof though Jon that you did on your +2 which looks like a better proposition than a patch panel that is being proposed.

If I was to re-do mine, I would look to use the gutter rail area and extend as far forward and rearward as possible to bond in a new panel rather than fill the Webasto hole as it has been currently. It would be far easier to blend out that area with filler and be stronger in the long run should the panel be flexed.

Definitely wouldn't fill the Webasto hole though as the blend lines are in visible areas.

I think time this thread is ended as it will soon be getting contentious.

Many thanks for the replies that has enabled me find a solution.

If, and it is still an if, I get this particular car, the repair will now be carried out by Spyder Cars, so maybe best to direct any suggestions to them.

Fitted a " glass tilt-up , lift out " sunroof to mine and loved it , water-tight , a lot brighter in the cabin , strengthened the " flimsy " roof and as JonB says , in Summer extra ventilation
Unlike the Webasto it just blended into the roofline...

Each to their own I suppose..

John ;-)

John, wanting to fit a glass sunroof to my +2. Could you give me details of supplier/ make/ model please? Think it looks stunning, and would certainly strengthen the roof. Regards Richard
