Sun visor mounting info here viewtopic.php?t=32273&p=216497 and here viewtopic.php?t=26015&p=171438
Thanks Bud I get an answer then I think or someone brings up another query. Ie the sun visors and now the rear view mirror. Let alone the fixings for the headlining. I have still to complete the wiring for the dash.

I was thinking standard foil backed insulation, foil point out to reflect heat from roof/sun. Maybe a bit of dynamat, but not full covering as it is heavy and as I understand it it is mostly to prevent vibration/drumming in panels rather than sounds absorption/deadening.
All I used in mine was an insulation made of 3/16" closed-cell PE foam with foil on both sides, stuck to the entire inside of the roof except for gaps just big-enough to accommodate the bows for the headlining. No noise problems from up there at all, and it weighs just about nothing.

For the A pillars I wrapped them tightly in polythene sheet then squirted expanding foam into the back of the pillar and let it dry before just sanding it smooth ready for trimming, don’t forget to put the wires in for the interior light by the mirror before doing this. I put mine inside heat shrink tubing but didn’t shrink it so it is possible to pull the cables in/out if I ever need to without digging out the foam. I’m planning to line the roof with self adhesive Dodo mat insulation before the headlining is fitted. My headlining support tubes look like lengths of steel brake pipe, and will be reused.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine!
