Making progress, drilled out broken bolt and cleaned out thread in window frame ok. Trial fitted frame and it seems fine. Next question is on the window lift coil spring. The motor and spring are all apart, I can see how it goes but don’t know how much pre tension to put on the spring, looks like either about 1/4 turn or 3/4 turn with the arm horizontal. From the one that is still assembled it looks like 3/4 turn, can anyone confirm? Next question is how do you know which is either the full up or full down position so the motor gear is engaged with the right tooth on the arm quadrant gear, is there any method or is it trial and error? Final question, mine is an early Plus 2 that has the small secondary seal strip in the area just near the courtesy light switches, but I have no idea where exactly as when the body was resprayed all the small holes in this area were filled in. Can someone provide pictures and dimensions please.
Thanks in advance!

I can't remember the spring position, other than it mainly gives lift. The motor spins without any stop point, so only needs to line up with the bolt holes. There was an extremely good post on here, kev+2 I think..
