Ah, memory is returning to me... The lotacones are not threaded.. The lotacones are fitted from underneath and the bolts screw into nuts welded to the top of the chassis turrets, I think. So you can't drill the whole thing out, you would have to carefully and precisely drill the bolt out from within its nut. Very difficult to do..
If you did it wrong you might need afterwards to grind out the remains of the nut from above and weld a new one on.

Tony, a good six point socket can do the trick, as square as possible on the head. Soak liberally.
Use a regular bolt when reassembling. I've not had a problem with a regular bolt head in that position.

Tony, I had the same problem. I bought one these at Sears

It destroys the bolt head, but does get them out.

Tony,
I am doing the exact same thing to one of the Plus 2's.......some all thread, long all thread connector nuts and some washers. Total 12 bucks.......oh' and an array of sockets for just the right fit.
The secret to get out the large part of the bushing ring is to push out the rubber parts then score that pesky metal ring with a hack saw. Almost into the wishbone. It relieves the pressure and pushes right out. Works every time............
