door install

There shouldn’t be any blocks of wood. The bolts are secure in the hinges and go through two bobbins per hinge in the body. The holes in the bobbins are oversize to allow the door position to be adjusted and there are oversize washers and nuts to clamp the hinge on the inside. Between the hinge and the body should be some u-shaped spacers to pack the door out to line up with the body.
The blocks of wood may be to replace missing spacers. Spacers often come up on eBay and are available from SJS Sportscars.
Instead of oversize washers for clamping I made some thicker twin washers that go over both hinge bolts and provide much better clamping. Picture attached but not very clear I’m afraid.
