Elan S4 FHC with new 26R chassis / seat belt mounting.

26R chassis owners.

Have any of you used 3 point seat belts? I am not putting a cage in my car and I want to use non inertia belts.

I have a new 26R chassis from TT but of course the standard Elan top mount plates that screw to the towers are too wide.

Has anyone fabricated a modified mounting? Any other suggestions?

I think I just trimmed my upper seat belt mounting plates to get them to fit my reinforced and enameled TTR chassis. I don't remember exactly what was required but they're in the car now.

Hi Tom, I was just looking at the standard seat belt mounting brackets and I think it should be possible to do that. Might have to add some reinforcement but it should work.
