Number plate digits

PostPost by: fatboyoz » Fri Aug 21, 2020 7:47 am

Hi All,
After some replacement 3 1/8” (80mm) white, plastic numbers and letters with the clips to fit to the grill of my S4.
Perhaps, someone from the UK will know of a source who will sell the individual digits.
Cheers,
Colin.

Thanks Alan,
That was very quick.
I will email them and see if they will sell just the digits, and not just a complete number plate.
Cheers,
Colin.

I got mine from Matty.
Twice! As I misplaced the first set - they've never turned up.
I suspect that the carrier bag they were in just got thrown away!

I'm afraid that the simple question "Have you seen?" is usually interpreted as "what have you done with" already. So not something I do too often :D :D

Good experience with Tippers. They shipped overseas quickly.

Colin,

I bought mine from thenumberplatecentre.com. If you are trying to get the “correct” item then you need to know that in the UK number plates were often fitted by the dealer who would use whatever was readily available to him. I copied what was already on my car.

Hope this helps,

+1 for Tippers. £27 for seven digits, if I recall, including the spring clips to secure them. I chose silver finish, I think it was a little dearer than white.

Tippers can supply all you need, they have been going since the 30's and have all the correct tooling etc.
Good for advice too.
