Is there a correct height for the rear arches

I am looking to set the ride height and wonder if there is a dimension from the ground to the top of the wheel arches front and rear.
Presumably this will be with with the weight of the driver and a tank of fuel

Does anyone have these measurements please?

While measuring the wheel arch height from the ground seems like the obvious way to assess the ride height I don't think it's much use in practice. Variations in body construction over the years (and repairs) make it too inconsistent. I think mine differ left to right by 1/2" or so.

Why not stick with the suspension pictures shown in the manual: ensure that the lower front wishbones, and the rear A frame wishbones, are parallel to the ground (when the car is loaded). Adjusting the front can be done with adjustable spring/damper units. As for the rear, somebody in the forum will know how it's done - mine are OK so I've never had to figure it out.

I think this will get you where you need to be, or thereabouts. If the front arches then prove to be close to the wheels you'll need to check that they won't foul when going over a bump on a tight lock.

Also, different size tires will affect this dimension. Even the same size tire from different brands will be of
different dimension.

with the weight on the suspension maybe it's better to measure from the Wheel centre to the top of Wheel Arche.
