Lotus Elan Sprint Duplicate Waso key

Hello folks
To be on the safe side I want to order a duplicate of the Waso key for my car. I am having some dificulty in finding someone here in wildest Wales who can supply. Has anyone any idea where I could try in the North West area?
Ive tried local locksmiths who say the the waso key fomat is stone age and cant help.

If you put Waso key blank into the e bay search function a number of options are available, some are the same shape as your original but with a different name on them. I would have thought that if you have a blank or 2 any decent key cutting place could cut you a duplicate using your original as a template?

I had these made up only this week but they did say the ignition key was new old stock. But you might find a locksmith who still stocks them. Not WASO but Silca, Italy and almost identical. Jim

I just ordered a blank from one of the Lotus usual suppliers after visiting a the local locksmith company that failed to identify a suitable blank. Yet to have it cut but don't expect any significant issues.

The column is Triumph/spitfire so shouldn't be too hard to find a suitable key.

The keys are indeed Waso, but of a slightly different design. The type you have were also used on TR6's as I remember that style from the two I once owned.

Here is a photo of both sets of my keys. These are the original setss that came with the car. The spare set even has the Ellis Moore leather key fob along with paper tag showing the original owners name. The lotus leather fob is showing its age after 45+ years.

Thanks Gents, a great response to my issues as usual. what a diamond this forum is.
I must admit that I was being bone idle, after i'd posted this topic, i did a search on the tinterweb and have susequently found a suitable blank that is very similar to the Waso, its on its way as I speak!
Nevertheless many thanks to all who offered help.
